The Career Ladders Project, The Walter S. Johnson Foundation and The Stuart Foundation Convene Regional Gateway Programs
The Career Ladders Project, the Walter S. Johnson Foundation, and the Stuart Foundation will convene the collective Gateway programs being developed in Northern California counties. Gateway is a learning community of instruction and support that prepares students for success in college and careers. This one-day event convenes key participants from across the multiple agencies, organizations and community colleges involved in delivering this innovative program. The event encourages networking among Gateway practitioners, analyzes successes and challenges, and engages in collective problem solving in order to enhance and improve Gateway programs. Counties already engaged in offering cohorts as well as those in planning stages will be invited to participate. Co-sponsored by the Center for Workforce Development, the Career Ladders Project will host the event at Preservation Park in Oakland, California on Friday, February 3, 2006.
