Douglas Faust, InstructorScience|Math|Technology — Environmental Science (ENVS) Skyline
Doug is a sales management professional with extensive experience in magazine publishing and renewable energy. Doug has held the role of Vice President of Sales, Publisher and Group Publisher of numerous publications in the interactive entertainment business. In 2008 he joined a start-up solar energy developer, Solar Monkey, as a Director and early stage investor. Solar Monkey was acquired by Hanwha Holdings USA in 2011. Since then he has been providing sales, marketing and recruiting consulting for the renewable energy field as well as teaching solar energy courses at Skyline College.
Omer Thompson, Adjunct FacultyScience|Math|Technology — Network Engineering Technologies (NETX) Skyline
Known throughout the department as "Mr. T", Omer Thompson has been a full-time professor for twenty-four years. Besides teaching, as the Program Coordinator he is the glue that holds the TCOM department together. He is also the man to see if you want to speak to someone live and in person about the great opportunities offered by this department. He holds degrees in Electronics Technology and Vocational Education, as well as various industry certifications and a Masters Equivalency in Engineering.
Celia Canfield, Adjunct FacultyBusiness, Education and Professional Programs — Business Skyline
With 30 years of print and Web publishing experience with some of the leading publishing companies, Celia Canfield is also an entrepreneur. She co-founded a successful custom content creation agency, Tendo Communications and in 2007, created a sustainability consultancy firm, EcoVertex, Celia advises and is on the board of several start-up companies and organizations that are focused on creating a clean energy economy, including City CarShare and Small Business Majority. A regular speaker on the subjects of sustainability, marketing, and clean tech entrepreneurship, Celia has been a featured speaker at many conferences and is an adjunct professor at Skyline Community College on entrepreneurship and new economy marketing in the Business Department.
Rita Gulli, Program DirectorBusiness, Education and Professional Programs — Center for Career and Workforce Development Skyline
Rita’s employment with the San Mateo County Community College District spans 25 years. Her work experience includes 15 years in fundraising program development at KCSM-TV/FM and 10 years in workforce development and grant management. She is currently the Project Director for the Energy Systems Technology Management department and coordinated solar and energy efficiency training cohorts for the Bay Area Clean Energy Careers grant and Home Energy Retrofit Occupations grant. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and Small Business Management at San Francisco State University. She enjoys cooking, museum art and cultural exhibits, interior design, and organic gardening.
