Interdisciplinary proposals are encouraged.
The Professional Personnel Committee strongly encourages proposals which initiate or enhance ongoing efforts in the following areas:
Partnership for Excellence
The PFE funds is a mutual commitment by the State of California and the California Community Colleges System to significantly expand the contribution of the community colleges to the social and economic success of California. It is structured in phases, with substantial financial investment by the State in exchange for a credible commitment from the Community College System to specific student and performance outcomes.
Applications are reviewed by the Professional Personnel Committee of the Academic Senate. Recommendations for funding are made to the Vice President of Instruction and the College President. Final approval is by the Board of Trustees for Trustees Fund Proposals and the College President for Partnership for Excellence Proposals. The College President will notify applicants of the funding received. There are two cycles per year with deadlines in October and March.
