Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOGFW)
California residents may apply for a fee waiver in order to have their enrollment fees waived. It is preferred that students file a FAFSA to determine if they can receive the fee waiver and all other aid eligibility. However, you can complete a fee waiver (BOGFW) application on WebSMART to see if you qualify.
Please check out the Board of Governors Fee Waiver Income Standards to see if your income qualifies for this waiver.
**If you have already completed a FAFSA application, then there is no need to do the BOGFW application on WebSmart. Also, if your income is above the amount listed on the Income Standards sheet, then you will have to do the FAFSA application at www.fafsa.gov in order to get the fee waiver**
Please Note: If you have received your Bachelors Degree, you are not eligible for Federal Financial Aid, such as Pell Grants, but you may qualify for the Board of Governors Fee Waiver. To see if you are eligible for the fee waiver, please complete a the BOGFW Application on your WebSmart account or complete the FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov
