Skyline College

 

San Francisco State University (SFSU) welcomes international transfer students from Skyline College . SFSU has a “Transfer Admissions Guarantee Agreement” (TAG) with Skyline College . International students who have completed all of the requirements will be guaranteed admission to SFSU after the application, application fee and all the required documents are processed by SFSU. This transfer admission guarantee excludes impacted majors at SFSU.

International students who are enrolled at Skyline Colleges are able to transfer to San Francisco State University after completing 60 transferable semester units and all the required admissions courses with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.4. When applying to SFSU with the Transfer Admission Guarantee, international students may waive the TOEFL admission requirement.

 

The San Francisco State University Letter of Admission and SEVIS Transfer I-20 Form will be issued to the student after the application, application fee and all the required documents are processed by the SFSU undergraduate admission office and the student has been successfully transferred out by Skyline College to San Francisco State University through SEVIS.

 

When international students are enrolled at Skyline College , International Student Counselors at Skyline College will provide assistance and advising to students regarding SFSU admission process, transfer policies, academic programs, registration, etc. In addition, SFSU International Admission Advisors will also visit and schedule appointments for international students at the Skyline College campus. Students at Skyline College may also schedule appointments to see International Student Advisors at the Office of International Programs (OIP) on the SFSU campus. SFSU will provide an orientation for international students before classes begin each semester with social activities for new students.

 

To be eligible for the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG), students must do the following:

 

  1. Apply to Skyline College for admissions where you will attend first.
  2. Complete all the requirements stated on the TAG certificate and submit to SFSU. Submit a copy of the TAG with your application to Skyline College also.

 

Upon admission to Skyline College , an I-20 Form for initial admission will be sent to the address on the application. It is recommended to bring the TAG Certificate together with the I-20 Form issued by Skyline College to the U.S. Embassy when applying for the F-1 student visa.
