How do I borrow materials?

You can borrow most library materials for free with a valid library card from any library in San Mateo County. If you do not have a library card, you may obtain one by providing your student identification or a printout of your current class schedule. San Mateo residents who are not Skyline College students can apply for a free library card at any public library in San Mateo County. Most libraries require photo identification and proof of your current address.

The Library respects your privacy. We do not share information about you to anyone outside of the Library. Once you return library materials we keep no record of your borrowing history.

It is a good idea to become familiar with the Library's loan policies and confirm the due date when you check out materials.
