Afternoon Japanese Technology

This program, which specializes in technology of the Japanese automobile, consists of eight individual training modules. Each training module is self-contained, which means that the training from one module is not required to enter another module. Seven separate entry points allow students to enter the program at several different times during the year rather than the traditional fall and spring start dates.

Program Advantages: The major advantage of this program is expanded, in-depth training in the areas of electrical, electronics, computer control, and emission control on Japanese technology vehicles. The program provides extensive hands-on training in testing and diagnosis of real problems on late model vehicles. This training prepares students for A.S.E. certification and State license examinations. Students develop a professionalism towards the automotive industry. Students wear dealership-type uniforms, use time cards, use repair orders, and use inspection forms.

Technical Training: Training for this program takes four semesters over a Students workingtwo year period. Students attend classes four days a week, five hours per day, Monday through Thursday, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sixty-one automotive semester units in total, over 1420 hours of training, provide students with both in-depth training in Japanese automotive technology and extensive hands-on experiences.

Program Benefits: Classes durning the afternoon allow for students who have jobs in the morning.  In addition Japanese technology is stressed in every class.
