What is Telecom, Wireless and Network Info Technology?

It is the transmission of information through satellite, optical fibers, copper wires, telephone, radio or television. The telecommunications industry includes companies involved in the design, manufacture, sales or service of equipment used in the transmission of sound and data.

Included in this industry are the companies and professionals that work with wireless and network technologies, as well as telecommunications. Wireless technologies are those that use radio, satellite, laser and infra-red transmissions to deliver data for networks or phone systems. Network technologies are those that deal with the communications between computers, whether locally connected or geographically distant. Telecommunications technology deals with the various methods of communications used by the various phone companies, either through a physical medium or via wireless transmission.
