Ban, Ann. Emeritus Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science. (B.A., Adelphi University; M.A., San Francisco State University). Professor Ban has been teaching in the Bay Area since 1966. She became a member of the adjunct faculty of Skyline College in 1981 and became a full-time faculty member in 1989. Her areas of teaching include mathematics, Programming in VISUAL BASIC, and P.C. Bates, A. J. Associate Professor of Chemistry. (M.A., B.S., Indiana University - Bloomington) A.J. Bates studied and taught chemistry in his home state of Indiana before moving to California in 1998. He taught high school chemistry in San Francisco for three years and joined the Skyline faculty in 2002. Bookstaff, Shari. Associate Professor of Biology. (B.A., University of Wisconsin-Madison; M.A., San Francisco State University). Professor Snitovsky's graduate studies concentrated on marine mammals. Her primary research interests are bioremediation and antimicrobics.
