DRAM 680Drama680 Technical Production/Stagecraft is currently the only official drama class offered at Skyline College.  The goal of the class is to teach the basic principals, history, and practice of technical production for the performing arts and help students acquire a general understanding of the process that leads up to the production and development of live performances.  Students enrolled will get a opportunity to not only learn how to use industry standard equipment for the purposes of audio, lighting, and scenic production, but they will also get to practice with "hands on" experience as they provide the Skyline College Theatre with the crew required to operate a professional quality performance venue. Students enrolled will have the opportunity to take the class up to three times for course credit and focus on one of three different disciplines each semester.  Upon completion, Dram680 students will be experienced with industry standard top tier equipment and up-to-date live performance networks.  Oh yes... did we mention the fun?

Music ClassMUS. 667SM AA is designed to prepare students to perform in a musical theater production conducted on campus. Activities include developing a well-supported and well-placed singing tone, issues of song interpretation and styling, and the basics of English diction. Through regular rehearsal and preparation, students will strengthen their singing voices and increase their sensitivity to vocal phrasing. In addition, we will also cover the basics of acting technique and stage direction. Students will be expected to learn, memorize, and execute their assigned musical parts in a public performance of a spring musical.

Musical Theatre DanceDANC 665SJ is designed to prepare students to perform in a musical theater production conducted on campus. Activities include learningjazz technique and choreography that will be utilized in performance. All levels of dance skill are welcome. Students will be expected to learn, memorize, and execute their assigned dance/movement parts in a public performance of a spring musical.
