Team Member Biographies

Tallia Schivo

Tallia SchivoTallia begins her first season at Skyline after a successful high school career at Mercy High School in San Francisco. As a junior, Tallia helped Mercy SF to one of the best seasons in school history. As a senior, Tallia was a go to player for the Skippers. Tallia has shown a great work ethic and knowledge of the game. Skyline looks for Tallia to be a major contributor this season. In her free time Tallia enjoys hanging out with friends and playing sports. (top)

Brianna Friedrich

Brianna FriedrichBrianna begins her first season at Skyline College after transferring from Hawaii Pacific University. Brianna graduated from Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in San Francisco where she helped the Irish win the Central Coast Section Division III championship as a senior. Brianna was also selected for the San Francisco All-Star Team as a senior. Brianna consistently shows a strong work ethic and is expected to contribute both offensively and defensively this season. Brianna enjoys playing basketball, shopping, and exercising in her free time. (top)

Sahara Clay

Sahara ClaySahara is set to begin her first season of competition for Skyline College. Sahara graduated from Oceana High School in Pacifica. While at Oceana Sahara was named Oceana’s Most Improved Player as a junior, and Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year as a senior. Sahara was also named First Team All Peninsula Athletic League as a senior. Sahara looks to make an immediate impact for Skyline on the defensive end. Sahara likes to hang out with friends and read in her free time. (top)

Marielle Beltran

Marielle BeltranMarielle begins her first season at playing basketball at Skyline after playing volleyball for the Trojans last year. Marielle is a graduate of Westmoor High School in Daly City where she played both volleyball and basketball. As a senior at Westmoor, Marielle received the NASA Athletics Award. Marielle will add rebounding and interior defense to the Skyline this season. Marielle’s interests include playing sports and watching movies.

Stefanie Johnson

Stefanie JohnsonStefanie enters her second season playing for the Trojans. As a freshman, Stefanie’s contributions helped push Skyline into the California State Playoffs. Stefanie’s hustle and defense are the keys to her game. Stefanie was named Skyline’s Most Inspirational Player for the 2011-2012 season. Stefanie is a graduate of Jefferson High School in Daly City. While at Jefferson, she received the Four Year Award for playing four years of varsity basketball. Stefanie’s hobbies include playing basketball and hanging out with friends. (top)

Malaysia Basallo

Malaysia BasalloMalaysia enters her first season at Skyline after an impressive high school career. Malaysia graduated from Balboa High School in San Francisco where she was 1st team All Conference in the Academic Athletic Association twice, as well as being named Most Valuable Player of the Academic Athletic Association as a senior and 1st Team All City by the San Francisco Examiner as a senior. Malaysia’s pressure defense and knowledge of the game make her a tremendous asset on the court. Malaysia enjoys eating and taking naps in her free time. (top)

Jazel Talauta

Jazel TalautaJazel is set to begin her freshman year at Skyline after graduating from Terra Nova High School is Pacifica. During high school Jazel received 1st or 2nd team all league honors three straight years before missing her senior season with an injury. She also won the Best Defensive Player Award for her team as a junior. Jazel was named a top 40 player in the class of 2013 for northern California. Skyline looks for Jazel to manage the game and contribute on both ends of the court. Jazel enjoys eating, napping, and hanging out with friends in her free time. (top)

Malia Elliott-Tufono

Malia Elliott-TufonoMalia Elliott-Tufono returns to Skyline for her second season with the Trojans. As a freshman, Malia averaged 9.9 points per game and just over 5 rebounds per game. Skyline looks for Malia to be a playmaker at both ends of the court. Malia plans on continuing her basketball career at a four-year university next year. Malia’s hobbies include listening to music, especially jazz, and reading.(top)

Jasmine Enciso

Jasmine EncisoJasmine enters her first season of basketball at Skyline College. Jasmine graduated from Oceana High School in Pacifica where she was a two-year varsity starter. Jasmine has continued to develop her game and has become a real threat from the perimeter. Skyline looks for Jasmine to add outside shooting to the offense while in the game. Jasmine’s hobbies are swimming and collecting sand dollars at the beach.(top)

Chloe Tinio

Chloe TinioChloe begins her first season at Skyline after taking some time away from the game. Chloe graduated from Mercy High School in San Francisco where she was a consistent contributor on solid teams. Chloe’s leadership and maturity will help her play a key role for the Trojans this season. Chloe is currently in the nursing program at the College of San Mateo. In her free time, Chloe enjoys playing tennis and reading. (top)

Ezzia Gheith

Ezzia GheithEzzia returns to Skyline for her second year of competition. Ezzia worked hard last season to adjust to the college game and has put herself in position to have a successful sophomore season. Ezzia graduated from El Camino High School in South San Francisco where she was All-League Honorable Mention in the Peninsula Athletic League as a senior. Ezzia was also a team captain at El Camino and recipient of the team’s Most Inspirational Player Award. Ezzia’s hobbies include playing sports and reading. (top)

Janice Coronado

Janice CoronadoJanice begins her first year of basketball at Skyline after taking some time away from the game. Janice graduated from Mills High School in Millbrae. As a senior, Janice helped Mills to a second place finish in the Peninsula Athletic League. Skyline looks for Janice to provide an inside presence as well as guard other post players in the paint. Janice’s hobbies include reading and listening to music.(top)

Jessica Garrett

Jessica GarrettJessica returns to Skyline for her second season with the Trojans. As a freshman, Jessica appeared in all 25 games and started 18 games. Jessica was the Trojans best inside presence last season averaging almost 7 points per game and just over 7 rebounds per game. Jessica is a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School in San Francisco where she earned team MVP honors two times. Her hobbies include listening to music, playing basketball, and collecting shoes. Jessica looks to continue playing basketball at a four-year university. (top)

Monique Garrett

Monique GarrettMonique enters her first season with Skyline after completing her undergraduate studies at St. Mary’s College in Moraga, California. Monique graduated from Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in San Francisco where she helped the Irish to a California State Championship. Monique’s championship caliber leadership and experience will play a vital role for the Trojans this season. In her free time Monique enjoys watching movies and listening to music. (top)

Stephanie Allen

Stephanie AllenStephanie begins her first year at Skyline College after a successful career at Palo Alto High School. As a junior at Palo Alto, Stephanie led her team to a second place finish in the Central Coast Section Division I playoffs. Stephanie missed her senior season after suffering a knee injury. Skyline and Stephanie are excited and encouraged as her knee continues to heal as she prepares for next season. Stephanie enjoys playing basketball and singing in her free time. (top)
