General Counseling
DROP-IN COUNSELING APPOINTMENTS
During registration week for the upcoming Summer/Fall 2024 semester. Selected Skyline
counselors will be available by drop‑in counseling. Drop-ins are limited to 20 minutes.
Concurrent High School Students and Students in EOPS, TRiO, EAC, PSP, or ISP will need to meet with their respective program representative and contact their office directly.
Drop-In Counseling Dates:
- Monday 5/6 - 12pm-4:30pm
- Tuesday 5/7: 8:40am-6:15pm
- Wednesday 5/8: 8:30am-5:00pm
- Thursday 5/9: 8:30am-4:30pm
- Friday 5/10: 8:30am-12:45pm
To see a drop in counselor please follow the steps below:
- Fill out our Drop-in Sign-up Form.
- The form will direct you to the online Zoom room to see a counselor.

If you would like to schedule a counseling appointment. Visit smccd.onelogin.com and click on "My Appointments."
Ask-A-Counselor via Email
- This option is ideal if you wish to email your question(s) to a counselor for a response.
- Complete the Ask-a-Counselor form and a counselor's response will be sent back to you.
- Responses will be answered Monday through Friday. Inquiries submitted after business hours on Friday and during the weekend will be answered on Monday.
- Ask-a-Counselor is currently unavailable. For immediate assistance, please refer to the Drop-In Counseling schedule above.
Undecided Student Counseling
If you are an undecided or undeclared student, schedule an appointment with a career counselor to learn more about the Explorers Program. You can either book an appointment through your student success link or complete our referral form. You can also email us at skyexplorers@smccd.edu
Student Veteran Counseling
There are two ways for student veterans to schedule an appointment with a counselor:
The best way to make an appointment with a counselor is to fill out the appointment request form below.
Please include in "Subject: Veteran appointment." In the email, your full name, your student G#, your general availability, and the reason for your request.

Degree or Certificate Questions

Prerequisite Requests
- Submit a Prerequisite Equivalency Request if you can demonstrate with a college-level course (and earned with "C" grade or higher) equivalent to the prerequisite.
- Submit a Prerequisite Challenge Request if you have not met the prerequisite with a college-level course equivalent (and earned with "C" grade or higher), but you can demonstrate having met the prerequisite through other supportive documentation.
