Environmental Club

Club Mission:

  • To encourage the Skyline College community and administration to adopt practices that promote the environment
  • To promote environmental awareness within the Skyline College community
  • To maintain and protect the environmental health and attractiveness of the Skyline College campus and surrounding areas

Club Projects:

  • Take Back the Tap is a student-powered campus initiative promoting the use of reusable canteens and weaning Skyline from a cultural addiction to plastic water bottles. 
  • Hydration Station, funded by Environmental Club, is a water fountain that replenishes reusable water bottles, providing an alternative to plastic water bottles and saving students money.
  • Earth Day organized by Environmental Club in 2011 and 2012 includes an outdoor fair highlighting student organizations that have an environmental focus, campus programs that promote sustainability, and local environmental organizations. For more information visit our Earth Day page.

Get Involved!

Interested in joining Environmental Club? Meetings are held every Tuesday 3:15-4:00 p.m. in Building 7, Room 7109Membership is open to all Skyline College students, faculty and staff who attend at least two meetings per semester.
