The fees and amounts below are effective as of Summer 2023 except updates to International Student Health Insurance Rate and Non-Resident Tuition & Capital Outlay Fee, which are effective Fall 2024.

All Students, except high school students enrolling for less than 11.5 units through the Concurrent Enrollment or Middle College High School Program and College Consortium Programs. These fees are waived for recipients of the California College Promise Grant.
Enrollment - Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care $130 per unit All Students that are new graduates and have completed the CoARC accredited Respiratory Care program equivalent to an A.S. in Respiratory Care and are California licensure eligible or Respiratory Care Practitioners who have completed a CoARC accredited Respiratory Care program equivalent to an A.S. in Respiratory Care and are California licensure eligible and accepted into the Bachelor of Science Respiratory Care program at Skyline College will pay $130 per unit for upper division coursework. Students eligible for the California College Promise Grant (FAFSA or Dream Act Application) will only waive $46 per unit and total cost to the student is $84 per unit. 
Audit $15 per unit

The College allows auditing of courses with the exception of courses in programs that require special preparation and/or program admission on a limited basis.  Students requesting to Audit a course and receive the California College Promise Grant (CCPG) are responsible to pay for fees and the CCPG will not be applied to the student account.

Nonresident Tuition

$367 per unit

Nonresidents of California who are residents of other states.

EXEMPTIONS: Education Code section 68075.6 grants an immediate nonresident tuition fee exemption to eligible Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) holders and refugee students who settled in California upon entering the United States. This exemption is granted for one year from the date the student settled in California upon entering the United States.
This exemption applies to the following:

  • Iraqi citizens or nationals (and their spouses and children) who were employed by or on behalf of the United States Government in Iraq (Pub.L. No. 110-181, S 1244)
  • Afghan and Iraqi translators (and their spouses and children) who worked directly with the United States Armed Forces (Pub.L. No. 109-163, S 1059)
  • Afghanistan nationals who were employed by or on behalf of the U.S. government or in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan (Pub.L. No. 111-8, S 602)
  • Refugee students admitted to the United States under section 1157 of Title 8 of the United States Code

Established by student election to support student advocacy to local, state and federal offices and agencies. A student has the right to reverse the $2 Student Representation Fee by completing Student Representation Fee Waiver   and submitting it to the Cashier's office.

This fee is automatically assessed as part of your total fees.  The student body fee offers a photo ID card and discounts as well as support for many activities and programs. If you choose to reverse this fee, please visit the Center for Student Life & Leadership Development Office in Bldg. 6, Room 6212, (650) 738-4275. Student ID cards are not available during the Summer Session.
Parking

Student parking fees have been suspended for the 2023-2024 academic year. Student parking fees will not be charged for: Summer 2023, Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semesters. Campus parking regulations, however, will continue to be enforced. Violators will be cited. See the parking website for more information.

Students whose personal checks are returned by the bank. (Only cash, credit card, Cashier's Check or money order will be honored to clear a returned check). Bookstore fee for a returned check may differ.

Online Instructional Materials Access Fee  varies by course License fee to access course digital material.  This Inclusive Access Program comes at a discount compared to printed materials, and also includes Interactive Learning Platforms. Digital course material access will be billed to the student during the first week of the semester (listed as Inclusive Access and is refundable). The discounted printed book is available for most books at the bookstore.  Students have the option to pay a lower price for a shorter access period, or to obtain their own access.

*Students who depend exclusively upon prayer for healing in accordance with the teachings of a bona fide religious sect, denomination, or organization may be exempted from paying the health services fee. Please go to the Skyline College Forms page to find the Extenuating Circumstance(s) Form and return the completed form to Admissions and Records.

Estimated Cost of Attendance

Estimated cost of attendance (COA) is the average cost to attend Skyline College. Many students ultimately pay less than this estimate due to personal lifestyle or financial aid eligibility. COA includes tuition and fees as well as indirect expenses like housing, food, supplies, and transportation.
