Foster Youth Programs Application Process
Step 1: Enroll at the college
All participants in Guardian Scholars and NextUP must be a currently registered Skyline College student. If you are not yet a student, visit the Admissions Application page and complete the Steps to Enroll. After enrolling, make sure you register for courses on WebSMART.
Step 2: Financial Aid
Complete FAFSA, Dream Act, and/or California College Promise Grant Application & Chafee Grant applications to receive financial aid. Visit the Financial Aid website to learn more about different forms of aid and how to apply.
Step 3: Apply to our Program
Complete the Foster Youth Programs Online Application. You will be asked to select either Guardian Scholars or NextUP, but selecting one program will not prevent you from being considered for the other.
Step 4: EOPS Orientation
Attend a mandatory EOPS orientation.
Note: Every Guardian Scholar participant is required to attend an orientation every semester.
